I have been taking photos for a long time. I was very keen on photography when I was an art student back in the 1980s. After leaving art school I even worked in a camera shop for just over a year.
However, as my life moved on I lost track of my photography and ended up only using my camera to record my work (I am a Figure Sculptor and Model Maker). Just over a year ago I bought a new DSLR and since then I have been rediscovering my love of photography. This blog will document my journey.
To start things off I give you one of my very early photos, from my days at art school, and a photo I took this morning on my phone...
I took the photo at the top as part of a series of photos of my fellow art students. I may show some more in future posts.
I am working on a extended series of photos based on this view looking at the Mouth of the River Don in Aberdeen, where it meets the North Sea, and showing the amazingly different early morning light that can be seen from the same spot!
